We have a lot of people who book our services that have never used a limousine before, so we have decided to compile a few simple notes and questions about the limousine business for your convenience.   When you're planning on going out and drinking with friends, regardless of the event, it is safe to say renting a limousine is the safest and most economical choice one can make. Here is a list of questions everyone should ask themselves before renting a limousine. Do I want to get a DUI? Do I want to ride in the back of a police car? Do I want to pay in excess of $10,000.00 to get out of a DUI? Do I want to go to jail for 48 hours? Do I want to be bothered with a DUI charge for the next 3 years of my life? Do I want to get my car impounded? Do I want to crash my car and hurt myself, my loved ones and friends and possibly hurt others or even kill someone? Do I want to go to jail for a charge of manslaughter or vehicle homicide? Do I want to be humiliated? If you answered any of these questions with a "Yes" you should probably admit yourself into a mental hospital. If you answered these questions with "No" you should probably pick up the phone call us and reserve a limousine. Law enforcement officers are serious about stopping drunk drivers and once you are placed in the back of a police car the party will be officially over. For most people 2/3 of one beer takes them over the legal limit by law.  Let us take you through the process: You will be pulled over, asked to exit the car and take a breathalizer test. If you're over the legal limit you will be arrested, put in a police car and your car sent to impound. The next day, if you can post bond, you will have to get your vehicle out of impound and pay the bond. Then you will have to attain an attorney (which for most in town cost around $8,000.00-$10,000.00) if you want to try to get your DUI charge lowered to wreckless driving. If you decide to plead guilty to the charge the attorney will then cost anywhere from $2,500-$5,000 plus a mandatory 48 hours in jail, plus your  auto insurance will increase. Please make the right decision, limousine service is very inexpensive when compared to the alternative.   How much should I tip the driver? Normal gratuity in the limousine industry is 20-25% of the run. For instance, if you have a run that cost $390.00 you should tip at minimum $78.00 to the driver. Remember the driver is providing you a first class service he has the responsibility of making sure you enjoy yourself for the evening and will be with you at 4Am when you are drunk and disoriented. Is the use of the glasses and the bottled water free? We provide these small luxuries at no charge however if you break one of the champagne glasses or scotch glasses there will be additional charges. Can I smoke in the limousine? Most limousine services will not allow smoking, some customers don't like smoke and will not use the company again if their cars smell like smoke. Also, its easy to accidentally drop a cigarette when your drunk and burn seats and carpet. Can we stand up in the sunroof? We do not allow this because of liability and damage to the sunroof. A limousine driver can be charged legally for a person standing up in the sunroof. Can we drink alcohol? It is permissible to have an open container (i.e. open beer in the limo) but once you leave the limousine depending on where you are, there are certain laws prohibiting you from having open containers in public. Additional Fees: There is normally a $200.00 clean up fee for throwing up in the limousine.
